A decision by Queensland Rail has been referred to the Crime and Corruption Commission, with the decision regarding the transfer of eight contracts worth $20 million held by Walton Queensland to the alleged phoenix company Peloton 3 days before the builder went into administration.
The move comes after examination by Queensland Integrity Commissioner Richard Bingham of evidence presented to him by Subcontractors Alliance head Les Williams in early December which included Walton project financial reporting files.
In November the matter had been referred to Mr Bingham for review from Transport Minister Stirling Hinchliffe.
A State Government spokesman said it could not comment further now the matter was before the CCC.
"The CCC has extensive investigative powers, including the power to compel witnesses, and can refer matters to other authorities as it sees fit," he said.
